Equipment & ski hire
Booking Equipment & Ski Hire
"Ski packs" is a term used to refer to ski, board and boot hire, ski lessons and lift passes collectively.
All prices for pre-bookable ski pack items are shown on the resort pages. Each ski resort guide has a ski packs information tab where you will find out about the different options, prices and any special offers on ski packs for each resort.
NEW – Save 10% when pre-booking ski and snowboard-hire when you book your holiday!
If you need equipment rented in resort, there are so many pitfalls nowadays, with some rental companies offering tempting discounts, but only to deliver poor quality equipment and even worse safety and service, sometimes with shops at the opposite end of resort from your hotel.
To ensure quality, service, location and the reassuring back-up of knowing your Inghams Representative is always on hand to resolve the slightest problem, simply pre-book your equipment with your holiday, and receive a 10% discount off the brochured price.
Please see the resort pages for details on equipment prices. Please note, this offer must be booked at least 2 weeks prior to departure, does not apply to ski saver packs and is not valid in Andorra, Romania, Bulgaria, Norway, Lapland.
When booking online, you will be presented through the booking process with the resort-relevant options so you can pre-book your ski packs at the same time as booking your holiday.
NEW – Ski saver packs: Save up to £240 per couple!
Many regular skiers already have their own ski boots, and don't require a full weeks tuition. So our Special Saver Packs put all the other key
elements together to save you £££s. Includes:
- 6 days superior ski hire (excludes ski boots)
- 6 day whole area lift pass
- 3 days group tuition
Pre-bookable - see resort pages for full details.
NEW – VIP & Superior Ski Hire
We offer the highest quality equipment to help you get the best out of your technique. You can pre-book one of the following categories and choose your skis in resort. See individual resort pages for details.
VIP category:
Top-quality racing and competition skis, brand new this season and most feature the latest models.
Superior category:
High calibre "performance" equipment, first winter season in use and regularly serviced throughout the season.
Standard category:
Standard skis and boots can be either lower calibre "sport equipment" (first or second season in use) or second season high calibre. All standard skis are regularly serviced throughout the season. In Bulgaria and Romania only one category of ski and boot is available to pre-book.
How to add ski packs at a later date to your holiday booking
If ski packs or excursions are not booked when you confirm your holiday, you will be charged the price quoted by our reservations system valid at the time the ski packs (not the holiday) are booked. Some ski pack items/prices are subject to change.
Alternatively, ski pack options can be added after your holiday booking by calling our reservations department on 020 8780 4455 or requesting them online on the ski pack request form.
To add ski pack items is free outside of 4 weeks prior to departure and £15 within 2-4 weeks for Europe and 3-4 weeks for Canada.
Please note: Ski equipment must be added to a booking at least 2 weeks prior to departure.
Ski pack request form
If you want to add ski packs to your booking, you can phone us or complete this ski pack request form and our reservation staff will contact you to confirm prices, booking and payment.
Children
We pre-sell children’s ski pack facilities in most of our resorts and special reductions are given in most cases. We advise that bookings for under 6s are made locally as, in the case of ski hire and ski school, special prices generally exist. In some resorts lift companies often allow children to ski free of charge. The age limits for children vary from country to country and are given for each facility in the ‘notes’ column of the Ski Pack panel for each resort (proof of age may be requested locally).
The age of your child given at the time of booking should be the age he/she will be at the time of your last day on holiday - not the age at the time of booking. See resort pages for details of our ski kindergarten packages for younger children.
Helmets
We recommend the use of ski helmets in all resorts. These are provided free in Andorra, Lapland and Norway. In Italy, Slovenia and parts of Austria (Salzburg and Upper Austria) it is compulsory for children (up to 13 yrs inclusive in Italy, up to 14 yrs inclusive in Slovenia, up to 15 yrs inclusive in Austria) to wear a helmet on
the slopes.
Terms and Conditions
Provided you take every precaution to safeguard hired ski equipment, the Inghams insurance policy covers you for loss or damage. Please note, hired skis that were new at the beginning of the season may look scratched and no longer new by the middle of the season, but they will still have well-maintained edges and bases. Our prices refer to 6 days’ hire (other durations are available - please enquire at the time of booking). Please advise our administration department if you require size 11 (or above) ski boots. Your request will then be passed to the resort before you arrive, though we cannot guarantee availability.
Interchanging Skis and Board
In most of our resorts you can swap superior skis for a snowboard or carving skis (or vice versa) for part of the week. In Austria, changeover is only possible on a Wednesday. In France, VIP skis can be swapped for free, and Superior skis can be exchanged at a supplement.
Cancellation in resort
No refund will be considered if you decide in your resort not to use any pre-booked ski pack items. After presentation of the voucher to the supplier (e.g. ski hire shop, ski school etc), refunds must be negotiated with and obtained from the supplier direct, and are not guaranteed by this company. In the case of illness or an accident, you must obtain a medical certificate to claim from your insurer when you return home. Refunds are not considered by Inghams on your return from holiday. See details of Inghams Travel Insurance.
All prices for pre-bookable items are shown on the resort pages and through our online booking process. If ski packs or excursions are not booked when you confirm your holiday, you will be charged the price quoted by our reservations system valid at the time the ski packs (not the holiday) are booked. Some ski pack items/offers may not be available at later dates and prices are subject to change. Pre-booked ski packs do not form part of your package holiday contract with us and we do not accept responsibility for any service which is provided by the supplier as part of the ski pack. See booking terms and conditions for further information.
