Our Chalets Staff

We are frequently told by guests that “The Inghams team made our holiday!” – a compliment we are determined to live up to once again this winter. You’ll find that most of our hosts are avid skiers or snowboarders and love nothing more than to share their knowledge and passion for the slopes with our guests. Our Chalet Hosts are all enthusiastic dinner-party cooks, who look forward to providing you the warm welcome, delicious food and friendly service which lie at the heart of an Inghams chalet holiday. In our Chalet Hotels, our professionally trained chefs provide varied, mouth-watering meals, whilst our team of hosts look after reception, the dining-room and house-keeping service.

All of our staff are handpicked in one to one interviews, and are chosen not only for their skills, whether that be cooking, bar-work, hosting or maintenance… but also for their friendly “can do” nature, strong work ethic and because they appreciate how important your well earned holidays are.

in addition, our Chalet Hosts are all enthusiastic cooks and relish in producing delicious food throughout the season. Our Chalet Hotel Chefs are professionally trained and provide varied, mouth watering meals. All Inghams Chalet and Chalet Hotel staff are required to pass the appropriate food safety training course and our staff and kitchens are monitored and audited during the season. We consider our staff to be a cut above the rest and with over 25% returning each season our guests feel the benefit of their enthusiasm and experience.

Inghams Quality

New this year, we have upgraded all our meal arrangements, so there is now a hot option at breakfast six days per week, and always a fresh cake with afternoon tea. Dinners are now four courses in all chalets and five courses in our Chalet Hotels, in each case with coffee and chocolates to follow. And there’s a choice of carefully selected complementary red and white wines for you to choose from each evening.(See below for a sample menu)

You can also rest assured that whichever chalet or Chalet Hotel you choose, you will always receive the same high standards of service and menus. All Inghams chalet and Chalet Hotel staff are required to pass the appropriate food safety training course and our staff and kitchens are continuously monitored and audited during the season, to ensure that Inghams’ high standards are always maintained.

*Location

In our property descriptions, distances are given in metres to the nearest ski lift, bus stop etc. These distances were measured along public rights-of-way, but are approximate and subject to change (e.g. due to construction developments). Some piste-side chalets or Chalet Hotels are described as ‘ski-in, ski-out’; these are less than 150 metres from the nearest piste or lift. This distance is subject to snow conditions and an individual's skiing ability.

Ratings

Due to the special nature of chalet and Chalet Hotel holidays we have developed our own ratings to help you make the right choice. These ratings are not part of any official categorisation, but represent our evaluation of the properties in our chalet and Chalet Hotel programme. Every property has been awarded a C rating ranging from 2 to 4 depending on the facilities. Chalet and Chalet Hotel ratings signify the following:

** Generally older, more traditional properties that offer good atmosphere and value for money. These are simply furnished with fewer bathrooms and facilities than modern properties
*** These meet most people’s perception of a standard chalet. They are comfortably furnished with an improved bath to bed ratio.
**** These are more comfortable with better facilities, balconies and a higher bath to bed ratio (many have rooms with private or en-suite facilities.)
