Celebrating 75 Years of Inghams

Saturday 14th November 2009 • Heritage Motor Centre, Warwickshire

We had a fantastic day with 40 of our overseas hoteliers and suppliers with whom we have built close working relationships - and friendships - over the years. Representatives from regional tourism offices and other ‘local’ people who have helped to make Inghams holidays the unique experiences attended as well as members of the Inghams team who were on hand to answer any queries.

Congratulations to our Prize draw winners.

Some of the winners weren't in the room at the time, so if you're wondering if it was you, you will be notified shortly! See terms below.

For those of you who weren't able to make the event, here's a quick summary of some of the things you missed!

Our presenters were charismatic and inspiring.

Franz Klammer talked of his World Cup and Olympic success using his particular style of skiing, some of his favourite ski areas (the Austrian Alps of course!), recommended some tips for improving and discussed some ski current affairs, such as helmets for children.

The ski really is the limit for Vicky Jack who in seven amazing years fulfilled her ambition to climb the Seven Summits - the highest mountains in each of the seven continents - culminating in reaching the top of the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. Doing this, she earned a Guinness World Record in the process for being, at the age of fifty-one, the oldest British woman to climb Everest, all whilst pursuing a high level and successful career. And yet Vicky wouldn't call herself a mountaineer - she would say she is just a good hill walker.

Walking Europe with Karl Watson
Karl runs independent walking holiday company Inntravel. His presentation offered stunning photographs of Europe and beyond on foot, by bike, by train and by horseback....

Alpine Family Holidays
Two of Inghams longest standing overseas travel partners - Lukas Scheiber and Michael Anfang from Austria talked about the extensive range of family activities on offer and why families should definitely take a summer holiday in the Alps.

Lapland Winter Wonderland
Petra Niskanen talked about the exciting range of safaris, activities and skiing that can be experienced from the Finnish resort of Ruka, and the best views of the fabulous Northern Lights.

The event was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all, especially all the Inghams staff and suppliers. We found that Saturday was such a great day that we're hoping to do more in the future.
